Two Paintings in Sufi Journal, Issue 110

I am grateful to share that two of my paintings are featured in Issue 110 of Sufi Journal: Journal of Mystical Philosophy & Practice.

Founded in 1992, Sufi Journal is an internationally respected publication devoted to the exploration of spiritual practice, contemplative traditions, and the living wisdom of the heart. Its pages bring together voices from across traditions — scholars, poets, seekers, and artists — in a shared inquiry into the inner life.

The latest issue explores themes of devotion, spiritual attention, and the refinement of perception. These themes resonate deeply with my own approach to painting.

My work does not attempt to describe the visible world. It moves toward what cannot be directly seen — emotion before language, light before form, presence before narrative. Color becomes a bridge between inner and outer space.

To have two of my works placed within a journal dedicated to mystical philosophy feels profoundly aligned. It is not simply an exhibition context — it is a contemplative one. The paintings appear not as objects to be consumed, but as spaces to enter.

In a world that often accelerates perception, I believe painting can slow it down. It can invite stillness.

I am thankful to the editorial team of Sufi Journal for including my work in this issue.
