I did not start today —
even if the naysayers like to say
any child could do it.
| Liis Koger — Abstract Art Portfolio & Earlier Paintings
I’m a believer in discipline — do the hard work, and luck will follow.
I’ve been creating abstract paintings from the heart since 2010. Back then, while studying for my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Painting), I also needed to sell my work to survive. So, I built my first blog, my first website — and the rest followed.
It matters deeply to me to show that creativity born of passion and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand. If anyone says they can’t, they’re lazy. You have to keep learning — always — because improvement never stops. Things change constantly, especially in the technological world. And yet, in this era where everyone shares their art online and is considered equal, I still want to credit those who endure the roughness of true dedication.
✧ These are a few highlights from my art portfolio — original abstract paintings that trace my evolution as an artist. It’s all I’ve ever done. It was never a strategy. It was a calling. It always was. It was poetry I could sell. I never questioned whether or how to do it — because ideas have borders, but the heart is limitless. Art is limitless.
I was born to do this, just as some animals are born to climb and others to swim. I believe art should exist this way: it either comes naturally, or it doesn’t at all. Here are some of my best works — paintings captured before they found their collectors. None of these are available anymore, nor as prints. The finest available prints can be found here.
Every artist should have a virtual portfolio — something to visit at the lowest points, to remember that yes, something beautiful came from it. Something great. Something I like myself, even.
