See maal sündis ühena kuueosalisest seeriast, kus iga teos oli killuke suuremast vestlusest. Teoste maalikeel on mõjutatud Rothko laadist, kuid sisaldab rohkem liikumist ja peeneid kujundilisi vihjeid. Kogu seeria lähtub teadlikust lihtsusest: piiratud koloriidist, peamiselt kahest toonist, ning soovist öelda vähem, et jätta rohkem ruumi tunnetusele.

This painting was originally created as part of a series of six works, each one representing a different part of an ongoing conversation. Its visual language is influenced by Rothko, while introducing a greater sense of movement and subtle visual elements. The series is built on a deliberate simplicity, using a restrained palette of mostly two colours and allowing emotion to emerge through what is left unsaid rather than what is explicitly shown.

This painting has been resigned with my own name, Liis Koger.
For a while, I went through something of an identity crisis, trying to understand how best to communicate the SISI STERN brand.
Eventually, I realized that it was never intended to be an alter ego. Rather, SISI STERN represents a concept.
