Why I Continue to Sign My Works as Liis Koger

After a long period of contemplation and difficult decisions on how to integrate something that feels right - both for myself and others - I’ve arrived at a place of clarity.

SISI STERN is the path I’m walking now. It’s not a pseudonym I invented or a brand I calculated. It was given to me - an inspiration, a concept, a process, a path I’m walking currently. It represents what I do, what I channel, and where I’m heading. But I’m still Liis Koger - this human being, in this human shell - and it is this person who signs the works: Liis Koger.

SISI STERN helps me frame what I’m doing. It helps me understand what I’m supposed to do, title and group the paintings more precisely. It is a name, but also a message. A direction. A channel. Through SISI STERN, I see the paintings as stars brought from the sky to the wall, offering each viewer a moment of connection with their higher self - a key for their own journey of growth - or connection to just another element, perhaps only a colour, why not.

SISI STERN points beyond me. It carries something that is hard to explain. I understand that this shift has caused some confusion. The transition hasn’t been seamless also for me. But as always, I choose to move forward fearlessly. I am aware that all life takes place in uncertainty - this is normality for everyone, just too dangerous to grasp for many.

So, I will continue to use both names. Trust that each use is intentional.

Stay brave, stay open.

Love
Liis
