I Am Not Affiliated with Simson Holding Oy
I don’t enjoy starting a blog on a negative note, but this situation leaves me no choice. At least it gives me a reason to share my voice more openly - not just through paintings, exhibitions and media, but through words as well. This is something I can no longer leave unsaid.
A brand called Simson Holding Oy, with whom I collaborated in the past for several exhibitions (SomoS Art House in Berlin, 2014, and Pirkko-Liisa Topelius Gallery in Helsinki, 2024), and who has purchased many of my artworks, is now giving a false impression of ongoing partnership.
Let me be absolutely clear: I am not represented by Simson Holding Oy, and I am not collaborating with them in any way.
I have reason to believe they are presenting or offering my works in a manner that suggests I am aligned with their agenda or associated with their direction. This is not true. While they do own a significant number of my paintings and are within their rights to exhibit or sell those specific pieces, they are doing so entirely without my involvement or any consent to represent me as an artist.
I am making this statement publicly because our values and artistic visions do not align, and I must distance myself from any misinterpretation.
I remain grateful for the experiences we once shared. However, I would be even more grateful if Simson Holding Oy would clearly communicate to all current and future partners that they do not represent me and have no right to speak on my behalf.
Kindly,
Liis

P. S. Simson Holding Oy only holds works by Liis Koger, not Sisi Stern.
